There are things in life, that we want, be it for personal gain or for others'. But what we want does not necessarily mean that it's what we need. Just because we think that doing this or that is gonna help us feel better or others feel better, does not mean it'll help.
Yeah, most of us are to preoccupied with staring at the "desired prize" that their blinded by the thought of making stupid decisions, which eventually they regret. hah. Some can be stupid selfish decisions. Some can be stupid immature decisions.
Most of us stay in one place, sinking in quicksand, when something arises. Sure not moving will slow down the sinking, compared to moving which would accelerate the sinking, but at the same time, others' lives are at stake too.
In conclusion, there's more to life than reminiscing the past - no matter how sweet and perfect the past may seem, we've got to remember that it's already happened and will never happen the same way again. And the future is never what we expect it to be. I mean, last month you and your friends might have been so close and happy, but you guys may seem like strangers now. I guess all of us - or most of us are experiencing that. Maybe some have experienced it and have overcome that phase, but for a lot of us, it's one phase we don't know how to solve.

Once upon a time, there lived 4 small living creatures in a small planet called Whutaheck. Two of them were cows and the other two were tiny people who were no taller than the mice. These beings survived by feeding themselves with food, from a small oasis nearby their homes.
The oasis had orchards and bushes of fruits of all sorts, that they were all able to survive through the winter and drought seasons. It was quite hard to look for the oasis at times, seeing as the planet was desert like, and there were no signs to indicate the directions to that particular oasis.
The tiny people are Bill and Bob. Bill and Bob are highly intelligent people who like applying what they know to everything in life. The two cows are Peter and Piper, who are highly intelligent cows, and liked to go with the flow with everything in life.
The oasis they had been devouring from for the past year has slowly been shrinking. Kind of like the whole "overgrazing" issue, concerning agriculture estates nowadays. Fruits and vegetables are growing even more slowly because nutrients from the soil are being exhausted quickly as the vegetation is being picked from the land day by day.
The cows, being the simple-minded kind of creatures who react and adapt to their surroundings, decided that it was time to migrate in search of new food and pasture, instead of exhausting the dying oasis. In agriculture, this is called "fallowing".
Bill and Bob kept visiting the oasis to eat every single day; they were too preoccupied with their own lives, enjoying themelves so much that they did not seem to notice the change happening around them. It was either that or they did notice little changes but tried to deny the facts of life.
One day, Bill and Bob arrived to a small patch of green land with bare trees and skinny bushes - what was left of the oasis. Bill and Bob were enraged by the sight, thinking how this could have happened. They thought a disaster like tornadoes, hurricanes, or sand blizzards, or pests were the culprits. They blamed their own doings on other things! Their minds were so clouded, that they did not notice what they had done wrong in the past and denied any thoughts of them doing anything wrong.
Peter and Piper however, found a new oasis tens of kilometers away. They seemed to find it a bit hard to adapt to the change, but they did so all the same. It was hard at first, but they succeeded in obtaining food in the end, and they were happy about it.
Meanwhile, Bill and Bob were starving in the dying oasis, moody and hating each others' guts, blaming each other for the horrific disaster casted upon them. They even hated the cows who no longer came to the dying oasis.
But then Bill figured, he couldn't just stay at the dying oasis and starve! He should'nt be thinking for a long time on what to do with a bloody oasis that hardly had any food left on it. He should be moving on! Just as the cows had done! And so he did, but Bob told him that he was crazy. Bob said, that moving on is a hard thing to do. Bob wanted to stay at the old oasis and wait for it to grow back, or somehow patch things up, and try to think of a way to solve the problem.
Bill thought that Bob was fighting a dying battle and so left the oasis in search for new food and pasture. It was hard travelling around the small desert planet. He felt miserable for a few days, because of hunger, but then, he stumbled upon a large lake. Beyond and around the lake were emerald green lushes of forests! Fruits and leaves grew from everyone inch of the branches on orchards and vines and bushes! Bill saw Peter and Piper nearby. He was greeted warmly. He felt really happy he had moved on. He was at a better place now.
Meanwhile Bob was still stuck in the dry oasis, starving and miserable. He didn't want to move on. He wanted to stay there, where the past was. He wanted things to be the way they were. Bob isn't like Bill. Bill knew things can't be the way the were in the past. Things never happen the same way twice! Bob was being immature with his decisions and thoughts. He was denying all the signs that had slowly developed when the oasis was slowly shrinking. Now... all was left was... almost nothing. His friends were at a better place, and he was stuck in the past. Bob thought again... he was scared to move on. He was scared to leave the past. He was scared of change and he was scared that he'll have to deal with something new. He wanted to be with his friends in situations that were like before, but he knew... itcouldn't ever happen again...
And so, after crying several nights, missing everything... Bob decided to move on. A few days of a torturing journey across the desert planet worsened his mood. He felt like giving up. He felt like a weaklin. "Why is this happening to me? It's not fair!! I want things to be like before. Why does everyhing have to be so difficult?"
But the thought that staying behind would not be of any help kicked his bloody brain, and he was now determined to find the oasis. He regretted hating Bill and the two cows. Because of his anger, Bill left with hesitation. Bill offered help but Bob turned him down. Now he was alone...
But wait! O_O He stumbled upon a huge lake. Trees surrounding it.. Huge! Fruit-packed trees! He was here! Across the lake, his friends, so happy, rushed towards him, to greet him.
